Winter Camping – Algonquin Park – January 2010

Algonquin is magical anytime of the year, but winter is especially.  You can travel in areas by foot not normally accessible, and the park looks and feels completely different.  Sure it’s cold, I won’t lie but when you stay in a heated yurt, you can get the chill out of your bones at the end of the day but still be connected to nature.  I highly recommend this to you even if you’re not a ‘camper’.  We’ve done the whole sleep in a tent on the snow thing and it’s definitely not for everyone but the yurt is fantastic.  Get out there – Try it!
